every picture i have seen at him at beth shirim and other private places are with a bottle of alcohol.. while for me personally i couldn't care less anymore.... for jw's this is low moral character.

so i'm an going to guess he was a functioning alcoholic... how did that work with his closest workers?

was he gay too?

Rutherford with his swagger and crudeness, like a snake oil salesman, brought in a lot of money from naive, humble folk. He sold them a dream... Millions Now Living Will Never Die... No one cared if he was drunk when he said it. They liked hearing the pretty fantasy words...

My head hurts

so i still have to go to meeting etc and my head hurts its just im trying to wake up and the teachings are getting shoved back in my head or with field service im giving people papers i want to rip it in my hands.. now its like i need a smoking break i have to just walk out the kingdom hall and get my mind back together.. just something thats new for me.

It is hard for you because you just woke up to find out a big real estate company masquerading as a charitable Chistian religion has been playing with not only your life but millions of other peoples lives as well. Not nice. Scary infact. The valuable information you have in your head right now, will stop you from making bad decisions in literally giving your life away to this flip flopping, suck the life out of you, real estate empire. It was hard for all of us. We all had to fight the tide against WT brainwashing techniques. We understand where you are coming from.

That are a lot on the board that would be so thrilled to get a "do over" from age 13 on, me included. WT/JW..org has ruined millions of lives.

What interests you at this time or what subjects have you got lined up to study in high school? Are you interested in academics? Sports? Music? When you are at the KHall on your tablet, can you post some of those topics to follow instead of JW..org BS? The idea is to pick something that will shut out all the conflicting "noise" you hear at the hall.

I wish none of us had to go to the kingdom hall ever so we could have lived normal, functional, lives.

Go to school. Do home work. Play. RELAX. Not get dressed up and go sit at the Hall and be told what to do and what not to do and told no questions allowed.

Personally, I haven't been to the hall since I read CofC by Ray Franz. To go now... and see the big TV screens and everyone using a tablet and nodding their heads along without questioning anything... I just couldn't do that.

Please know, that we all care for you and are here for you. It is hard what you are doing... But the benefits for you being so young, you will be able to make better, more sound decisions that will affect the rest of your life, are well worth it.

i came into the borg in 1973, just as they were starting the new elder arrangement.

i know that before that there was a presiding overseer who (as i understand it) ran the show.

Interesting plot twist...

Not knowing how romantically involved she wants to be with her JW Seattle living boyfriend, she accepts a date and flys down to Los Angeles to meet a tall handsome JW brother. He has arranged a double date with a pioneer couple. It is such a beautiful day, they decide to drive down to Tijuana for dinner. Afterward, while driving outside the city for a more romantic view of the lights and moon on the water, a police car shows up with his lights going round, so they have to pull over to the side of the road. The policeman stops, and walks up to the car and motions the driver to roll down his window. As the driver rolls down his window, the policeman takes a minute to look into the back seat. At that moment, the pioneer driver, steps on the gas, and guns the motor out of there as though the devil himself were after them.

The female never told that it was her psychic powers that made that car go like he** and the policeman not be able to find them.

The End...

If you grow your own corn, when it is ripe, you pick it, shuck it, boil it and serve with butter, salt and pepper. Some hold the cob with both hands, some cut the fernels off. What you will be eating is sweet corn.

If you let the corn stay on the stock and let it keep growing under the sun, the kernels will get bigger and will taste more like eating starchy carbohydrates, than the pleasantness of just ripe for boiling and eating, corn. So this next period of the growth of the corn is not considered sweet corn, but it is getting ready to be used as pig and horse feed.

Aged corn is not juicy. Sweet corn is.

Young adult male JW, time: late 1960's.

You didn't state which country or which state or if he is from a small town or a large city.

Don't know how technical you want to be to flesh him out, but If he is in high school part of PE (Physical Education class) for young men in a large city, included military marching and drills. JW men at that time were not allowed to do that so some had the option to take an alternate PE class, one such would be Modern Dance. Yes. They danced with the ladies and were the strong arms to do all the lifts. They were quite popular with the girls in class but their male peers rather looked down at them as "poofs".

Also, if he was reaching to soon be 18 years old, he needed a typed letter to be sent to his parole board, explaining that being an ordained minister, he was asking for a 4F (I believe that was the number and letter, best check on that info if you need it) as he was a conscience objector to war. And that brought all of it's own problems...

I could tell you about a whole array of different brothers in the late 1960's.

Does your character date? Go to parties? Dress stylish? Drive his own car? Have a part time job in guessing that he is still in high school?

Do you want to know about the ones sent to prison and how some were sent up for 2 years and some for 5?

Some pioneered, looked around, found a willing pioneer sister and married. He either stayed pioneering for deferment or she got pregnant.

I know one who went to college because he always wanted to be in the medical field like his father. That kept him out of pioneering and going to prison.

He is the only brother I knew of at that time that pursued an education and a career choice from my city area. He still went to the Hall, commented and gave student talks. In later years he helped make The Blood video for WT.

Is your young man a good JW or... ?

Hair length. Long hair was in. JW guys didn't want to stand out as military and so they did wear their hair a bit long only around the ears and their collar, long, as in touching, not hanging.

I am curious what kind of a JW will you make him? I hope you make him wake up to TTATT, that would be totally outstanding! I also hope too, that he is smart, gets a scholarship, after that get the job/career that he wants, finds a lovely girl to make babies with and is now a happily retired grandfather, doing exactly what he wants and is master of his own life.

JW Kids Bullying My Daughter

trying not to type swearwords as i write this so bare with me.. my little 3yo attends meetings with her jw mum (who doesn't believe watchtower anymore but is stuck in because she relies on her family for help).

my mum (the one who tells people im dead) had a party for her grandchildren.

that's my 4 nieces and 1 nephew aged from 3yo-11yo.

This is so wrong, cruel and sad.

I remember when I was three years old. I attended my grandfather's funeral. Three year olds can and do remember eventful happenings.

How you lovingly welcomed her, may be able to offset the ugliness of the day. Also beating the drums and singing a song from her heart, may have gotten the bad intentions directed at her, out of her system.

I am so glad she has you as her daddy.

JW Parents and kicking out their children

is it a common practice for jw parents to kick their children out of the home, if the child doesn't want to be a jw.

(even though their not disfellowshipped they will still get kicked out for not going to meetings etc.??).

do other religions encourage kicking family members out this as well?

I know of 2 different Elders in 2 completely different areas, who's son's wanted to do their own thing. Both boys had been baptized early but due to their parents choice, they lived a very secluded and controlled JW life.

The Dad's were both so kind and humble, really good guy Elders but were embarrassed at the choices their sons made. The different CO they each had told them they had the "respect" of their congo's so they need not step down. The boys lived at home for a while until they decided what to do.

One son went away to University and never came back. The other drove a days distance from his parents, in time, bought into a successful business, and he never came back home again either.

Neither wanted to have anything to do with the religion they were brought up in and that their parents hung onto so tightly.

My mums dying she refuses blood transfusion...the horror.

mum has a mild form of lukeimia if she took blood like normal people she could live to be 100. but no, anointed sisters dont compromise jehovah wont allow it.

so here i am moving to sydney for one month going to hospital everyday putting my life on hold to watch my mother die slowly.

watching her gasp for air, struggle to breath.

You must be so stressed. I am so sorry this tragedy is happening right now in your family.

I feel so sorry for everyone all around. Your dear Mom has been brainwashed for so many decades to not accept blood that she can't help but follow what the GB has decided God has told them to do in this twenty first century situation.

Blood and doctors are on the ready to help. Such a shame. How it must truly pain them to see an old fashioned, uneducated religious group make these deathly decisions. If the JDubs think they are making a great witness, they are horribly wrong! It will just make the JW's stand out as even more brainwashed and cultish than ever.

Death will come for all of us, but thank goodness for the scientific and medical community that know how to make people well so they can live a good long life.

I am sorry I can only offer a hug.

Am I selfish?

tonight i had an argument with both my parents.

my parents are aware of my feelings towards the organization, and it saddens them because i am their first born son.

they had high expectations of me, my father dreamt of him and i serving together as elders.

Did your parents say they really love you? If they do, then they should be happy to let you decide what you want to do with your life. Obviously, they don't like the road you have picked.

Also obviously you have a good thinking mind and a good heart not wanting to be involved with a religion that intentionally covers up pedophiles and has flip flopping doctrines done intentionally to keep good, naive people, like your parents, too confused to do anything but repeat what is said at the Kingdom Hall. How much brain power does it take to regurgitate what the reader at the WT just read aloud... and now the dumbdowned people are supposed to raise their hand and say the exact same thing back to the WT conductor? How dumb is that?

So, are you selfish for making better choices than your parents did?

No.

Your dear parents, week after week, month after year have been systematically brainwashed. JW..org tell them "Don't miss any meetings! Do everything like we tell you to!". JW..org knows they are brainwashing people. That is the only way they can keep the good people, obediently giving them money every month. Brainwashing. Smart people like you wake up and leave.
